Update this information

The Lied Center of Kansas opened in the fall of 1993 with a broad mandate to provide the finest in performing arts to the people of Kansas and the region. Since its inception, the Lied Center has played an increasingly important role in the Lawrence community: as a showcase for student talent, a hub for University ceremonies, and home to the acclaimed international Lied Series featuring a wide range of dance, music, theatre, and interdisciplinary performance. Recently named one of the top ten university presenters by International Arts Manager Magazine, this 2,000 seat, state-of-the-art facility boasts nearly 300 use days annually, testifying to its importance to the Lawrence community
