Information on Lawrence Kiwanis Club

Update this information

Kiwanis International is a worldwide service organization with over 300,000 members. The motto of Kiwanis International is "We build." The Lawrence Kiwanis is dedicated to serving our youth through service projects, donations, and scholarships. We also sponsor Key Clubs at Lawrence High School and Lawrence Free State High School and the Circle K Club at the University of Kansas. Besides the opportunity to serve our community, the club offers the opportunity to socialize regularly with people representing many walks of life. Our programs are a highlight of our weekly meeting and help educate our members about the community and the world. Founded in 1919, the Lawrence Kiwanis Club has a distinguished history. It is the oldest Kiwanis club in Kansas and at the time of its founding was the westernmost Kiwanis club in the United States. Our club has over 100 members including people representing local business, government, education, and the professions.
