Information on The KU Cultural India Club

KU Cultural India Club (KUCIC) is a student managed non-profitable cultural organization in the KU main campus here in Lawrence. The purpose of the club is multi fold - to cherish and present the rich and fabulous Indian culture to Indian/local community, to assist and coordinate the influx of Indian student population every year and to promote the talents of its members in various fields/disciplines. KUCIC comprises of undergraduate, graduate student, members, and teaching/non-teaching faculty members along with other well wishers residing in and around Lawrence. Significant contributions to the club's activities come from each of the above-mentioned segment of the club.

The club organizes several cultural programs during festive occasions like Independence day, Diwali, Navratri and Solicit also organizes picnics, dance parties, and movie shows during other times of the year. The executive committee members through participation/support of the club members organize all such functions. Membership contributions, donations, internal club fundraisers and active support of the KU student senate support the club activities financially.
