Information on Lawrence Jayhawk Kiwanis

Update this information

Kiwanis is a worldwide service organization for men and women desiring personal involvement in their communities. As a local group we can achieve what individuals cannot do alone. Our motto and the cornerstone of Kiwanis is "We Build". The major emphasis of our club is on youth and children in our communities.

We provide an opportunity to give back to the community by annual fundraising projects. We use these earnings to support youth projects, such as the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence and their new Technology Room, along with Band Scholarships to both High Schools, and a Boys' State Scholarship. In addition we have a worldwide project to help prevent Iodine Deficiency disease world wide. It provides an opportunity for fellowship, teamwork, meeting and making new friends. We are proud to have just celebrated our 40th year as the Jayhawk Kiwanis Club.
